Motor Starting Transformers

Our range of custom-made motor stating transformers or “Korndoffers” are used to start large electric motors, by limiting the motor start up current through a tapping arrangement in the auto transformer.

These taps are typically 50% 65% 75% 85% but any customer specified range can be offered.

Each product is specifically designed to meet the individual needs of the customer and needs to ensure run up time and tapping range is encompassed in the electrical design. We can manufacture at IP00 for you to house in your panel or even IP65 Liquid cooled for larger projects.

We currently manufacture these 3Ph units with system voltages up to 11,000v.
